Summit Accounting Solutions (formerly Cook Financial Associates) was established in Castle Rock, Colorado in 1989 by Daniel Cook, CFP^®.  Dan was previously a Vice President with a major Colorado bank, and had institutional investing experience.  At first the company focused on providing tax preparation and accounting services to small businesses. Dan soon recognized the need for small business owners and self-employed persons, including medical professionals and consultants, to have good personal financial planning as well as business consulting and tax reduction strategies.  He made it his mission to obtain the education and form the alliances with organizations such that Summit Accounting Solutions could make high quality, cost-effective financial planning services and products available to its clients. Since then, our team of professional planners and support staff has grown to serve clients across the nation. Summit Accounting Solutions continues to re-define how accounting and financial planning services are delivered to its clients. After being in business for over 20 years, many clients of Summit Accounting Solutions are now retired.  Although initially specializing in small business owners, the company also extends its services to these clients by providing trusted financial advice, expert tax planning and consistent financial management. In 2004, Summit Accounting Solutions took another step toward improving its products and services by associating with Commonwealth Financial Network.  Through Commonwealth, an independent broker/dealer, Summit Accounting Solutions can provide clients with access to leading research, information and financial industry products. Through the years, Summit Accounting Solutions has been privileged to serve many professionals in the medical fields, especially in the dental industry.  In 2007, Denise Cook rejoined the company full-time, bringing with her years of experience in managing the office and staff of a large dental practice.  While not all married couples could pull off working together, Dan and Denise do so with remarkable results for their clients, combining their talents in financial planning, practice management, tax strategies, and the practical side of managing people.  The result is our clients have more success and more enjoyment, knowing their finances are in good hands.  Summit Accounting Solutions has become the go-to firm for the dental industry. In 2011, Cook Financial Associates merged with Summit Wealth Group, an indepently owned and operating wealth management firm with four offices locations. Cook Financial then adopted the name Summit Accounting Solutions to coincide with the new merger.
